The Association
for Bright Children in Peel can provide advice and
advocate with you on issues for gifted children from
pre-school through secondary in the Peel Region, which
includes Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. ABC exists
to help parents and students with:
identification
and placement processes
in-school
discussions
individual
education plans, and
many other
issues
There is
someone who has been through it before; ABC's volunteers
and members can share their experiences with the
challenges of keeping your gifted child challenged,
engaged, and nurtured to their full potential.
ABC Peel
is the Peel Region chapter of ABC Ontario, a
provincially incorporated, all volunteer,
donation-funded registered charity. ABC
is not an agency of or funded by any school board.
As an
association of parents and others concerned about the
needs of bright and gifted children, ABC depends on the
involvement and voices of new members. Please
consider getting involved. There are many ways to
help (we can show you how!), and volunteer positions are
open.
