PLACEMENT OPTIONS

You will find a large variety of terms used by teachers, principals, board support staff, and other parents to describe the placement options available to gifted children. Withdrawal, contained classes, congregated classes, enhanced learning classes (ELC), gifted classes and even the outdated terms mode 1, mode 2 and mode 3. “Eduspeak and the Gifted” will help you make some sense of these terms and many more.
